LEDFORD, Carl age 77, of Morgan Township, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton Wednesday evening, November 2, 2011. He was born on March 12, 1934 in Clay County, KY, the son of Thomas and Bertha (Burns) Ledford.
He was educated in the Clay County Schools.
On August 27, 1955, he married Mildred Gibson in Manchester, KY.
He worked most of his life as an over the road truck driver.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and coon hunting. He was a member of the Butler County Coon Hunters Association.
He is survived by his children, Tom (Darla) Ledford of Shandon, Carla Ledford of Morgan Township, Doug (Carrie) Ledford of Milville, Michele (John) Harris of Hamilton, Trace Ledford of Morgan Township, Sabrina (Mike) Stanifer of Morgan Township, Craig (Michelle) Ledford of Big Creek, KY, sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three brothers, John, Paul, and Billy Ledford, and three sisters, Freda Couch, Grace Arnold, and Ruth Howard. He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, four brothers, Everett, Cecil, Arlie, and T.G., two sisters, Hester Mosely and Gladys Farmer, and his parents, Tommy and Bertha Ledford.
Visitations will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio on Sunday, November 6, 2011, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a service at 4:00 p.m. and at Britton Funeral Home, 27 Old U.S. Route 421, Manchester, KY, Monday, November 7, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Ledford Family Cemetery.
