Ronald Steven Ledford
GASTONIA - Ronald Steven Ledford, 56, passed away March 5, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 26, 1957, in Hickory, son of the late Clyde Samuel Ledford and Virginia Jeanette Davis Ledford.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie White-sides Road, Gastonia officiated by the Rev. Jerry Millwood.
The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.

Roger David Ledford
FOREST CITY - Roger David Ledford, 61, of Forest City, died Jan. 1, 2013 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Roger was born June 22, 1951 in Cleveland County to the late J.C. Ledford and Margaret Campbell Ledford. He worked for Diversco Industries for more than 30 years and was a member of Gantt's Grove Baptist Church. He had a passion for the guitar and was a singer/songwriter. Beyond his enjoyment of music was his love for the Lord.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Joel David Ledford and a sister, Barbara Putnam Winn.
Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Chris Ledford of Shelby, and Larry Ledford and wife, Kim of Ellenboro; Gladys Ledford and daughter, Amber Michelle Ledford of the home; three sisters, Patricia Hudson and husband, Kenneth of Lawndale, Betty Mason of Ellenboro and Joyce Griffin and husband, Scott of Boiling Springs. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; special friends, Scott Griffin, Rein Hollifield, Wayne Hill, and Wayne Toney and many nieces and nephews.

Joe Dean Ledford
Joe Dean Ledford, 56, of Burnsville, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November
12, 2012. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of Geneveve Randolph Ledford
Johns of Burnsville and the late Floyd Ledford.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are a son, Michael; sisters: Maria Grindstaff of Burnsville and Regina Wilson and husband, Doug of Johnson City, TN; nephews: James Pate, Jonathan Grindstaff and Matthew Grindstaff of Burnsville and Jeremy Wilson of Johnson City; nieces; Missy Mitchell and Amanda Wilson of Johnson City and Katie Grindstaff of Burnsville and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Randy Randolph and Tom Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in the Academy Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Don Carroll Ledford
Waynesville, Don Carroll Ledford, age 63, passed away on Friday, November 9,
2012.
A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Dorothy Hill Ledford and the late Steve Ledford. He was also preceded in death by his son, Daniel Ledford in 1997. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and a recipient of two purple hearts. He retired in 2010 after 42 years service from Evergreen Packaging where he was a crew chief. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW. Don enjoyed fishing, camping, and making music on his mandolin. He was a member of Old Pathway Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Catherine Silvers Ledford; four sisters, Wilma Ferguson (Skip) of Poquoson, Virginia, Margie Poole and husband (Cliff) of Hampton, Virginia, Linda Teague (Jake) of Waynesville, and Brenda J. Ferguson and special friend, Mike, of Clyde; one brother, Paul Ledford, of Rutherfordton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral home of Waynesville. Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart, Reverend Chad Ellege, and Reverend Tim Reeves will officiate. Burial will follow at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ernest Franklin Ledford
Ernest Franklin Ledford, age 81 of Levinfield Lane in Lincolnton died Saturday,
November 3, 2012 at Catawba Regional Hospice of Sherrills Ford,
NC.
Funeral service will be 3:00p.m. Tuesday,November 6, 2012, at Pearl Baptist Church where he was a member for 58 years. Mr. Ledford will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Dr. Robert Wensil, Rev. William Wease and Rev. Glenn Murphy will officiate. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Ledford was born May 1, 1931 in Lincoln County. He was preceded in death by his father, Clemmie John Ledford and mother Essie Ledford Downs. He was also preceded in death by sister, Jackie Tadlock and brother Harvey Ledford. Mr. Ledford graduated from Rock Springs High School and was retired from Duke Energy after 37 years. He was a Corporal in The US Army serving during World War II.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Wilhemina J. Ledford of the home; brother, Charles Ledford and wife Audrey of Dallas, NC; brother in law Alfred Johnson and wife Bonnie of Charlotte, NC; brother in law Robert Tadlock of Charlotte, NC; sister in law, Daphine McRee of Lincolnton, NC. He was loved by many nieces and nephews and the eight children that enriched the life of both Ernest and Wilhemina.

Shane Ledford
Shane Ledford, 25, of Cherokee, passed away Monday, October 29th, 2012 in a
Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Cherokee, he was the son of James (Chip)
Ledford and Brenda Wildcatt of Cherokee. He graduated from Cherokee High School
in 2006 where he enjoyed wrestling and was active in sports. He was preceded in
death by his grandmother Lucy Wildcatt, and a loving stepdad, Jason (Crowbar)
Crow.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two sons, Deagon Ledford of Cherokee, and Epps Welch of Cherokee; stepdad, Robert Howell of Cherokee; two sisters Leslie Ledford and companion Johnnie Ray Lossiah of Cherokee, and Heelie Jae Howell of Cherokee; two brothers, A.J. Crow and Dez Crow both of Cherokee; a special Uncle Adrian Arch, and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Red Bradley and Ray Kinsland will officiate with burial in the Littlejohn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

YORK, S.C. - Vera Jackson Ledford, 96, formerly of McConnell Street, Clover, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, White Oak Manor, York.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Lakeview Memory Gardens conducted by the Rev. Evan English followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Clover A.R.P Church.
The family will receive friends after the service in the church sanctuary.
Mrs. Ledford was born Oct. 23, 1915, in York County, S.C. to the late William Harvey and Isabella Douglas Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Floyd Ledford; and son, Max Terry Ledford.
Mrs. Ledford was the oldest member of Clover A.R.P. Church and worked for The American Thread Co. and retired from Klear Knit Inc.
Survivors are grandchildren, Glenda Beckham (Roy) of Sharon, Terri Ayers of Chester and Bobby Ledford of York; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; special caregivers, Ann Dixon of Clover, Jane Sifford of Lake Wylie, Leonard Jackson of Lake Murary and Nell Lloyd of Atlanta, Ga.; and other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank White Oak Manor in York and Hospice Care of South Carolina for their loving care they provided for Mrs. Ledford.
