The Ledfords were the first of my family lines that I began researching, because my Grannie and her Cousins were into tracing the family roots, and she eventually got me interested in it all. Sortof.
I researched the Ledfords for about a dozen years or so, up until a few years ago and life got too busy and hectic. Some of my info may be outdated, and more finds have been found since I last worked on it. So if anyone has any contributions, feel free to post a comment and let me know.
PLEASE NOTE! Although I have gotten Official Records when I could, probably at least 90% of my info was gleaned by hearsay and assumptions.
Unless there is an Official Record to back it up, don't write any information in stone, always be willing to keep an open mind, and willing to change your mind (with a good arguement).
PS. When I first started family reasearching (genealogy), I didn't know about citing references, so alot of my early info won't have any references. Sorry.
